John Oates takes the lead...

John Oates from Hallowes Golf Club in Sheffield shot a seven-under-par opening round to take the lead in the Hampshire PGA´s 20th Overseas Pro-Am.

Playing at Parador Golf Club near Malaga Oates took a five shot lead going in to the second round of the Tournament at La Cala.

Mike Steadman (Swingrite Golf) is in second place with Daniel Westermark (El Paraiso) and Kevin Saunders (Walhampton) tied for third.

Saunders and his team of Martin Baily, Phil Thomas and Terry Sanders lead the pro-am after a fifteen-under-par opening round.

The 72 hole pro-am concludes with 36 holes at San Roque on Thursday and Friday.
